Anyone who has ever moved knows how important it is to label items for a move; this step is ten times more important when relocating your business. Let’s look at why it is important.

.) So movers know where the item goes: Proper labeling will ensure that the item is delivered to its proper place the first time, reducing wasted time and money through equipment repositioning.
.) So it can be found quickly: The quicker you can find an item the quicker you can be back in business making money.
.) To show the order of items to be unpacked and setup: This is especially important when moving over a weekend with plans to reopen the following Monday.
.) To make the move cheaper: The easier and more understandable the labeling is for the movers, the faster they can go and quicker they will get done. Time means money.
.) To help with the truck loading order: Sometimes moves occur in phases, especially with large offices and industrial sites. Use the labeling scheme to direct the order of which items will be shipped. You will need your computers and current customer files much sooner than the office rubber plant or files from the storage room.
.) To ensure the appropriate items get moved: Nothing is more a waste of time and money than forgetting something behind or moving abandoned items.
